No. Precise Translate operates the model connections and currently offers a free usage allowance. Translation requires an account and internet access. The extension tells you when a limit is reached or the service is busy.
Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and Indonesian. The extension interface is available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English. This website offers 19 language and region options.
It supports on-demand YouTube videos with available captions. It does not perform speech recognition or support captionless videos or live streams. If captions cannot be retrieved, you can import an existing SRT / VTT file.
Text-based PDFs are supported; OCR is not. You can export bilingual text, but not a rebuilt translated PDF. Review the reading order of complex layouts. The maximum file size is 50 MiB.
Translation starts with your action by default. Automatic translation requires a separate site setting and permission. A persistent button alone does not start full-page translation. You can stop translation, restore the original or revoke access.
Clear local caches, file tasks, glossary entries and usage records separately in the extension. Contact support@precisetranslate.app for server-account deletion or privacy requests. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your server account.
